Bad to the bone?

2.5 will work. How much loot you willing to drop?

Welcome to WF. I would suggest you start by reading this: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/jk-...ews-25157.html It should provide you with a lot of ideas.

Welcome to the forum. Both of the posters above provided you with some good info. Look into something like a 2.5" Teraflex coil lift, Rock Krawler stock mod, Full Traction econolift, etc. If you don't plan on adding a bunch of weight via bumpers, armor, winch, etc, you could even go with a 2.5" budget boost. However, it won't ride as well onroad or flex as well offroad as a coil kit.

Also, to run 35's you'll need a rear bumper with a tire carrier (or something equivalent that can handle the weight of the heavier spare), and a sleeve & gusset job (or a new front axle) if you plan on wheeling it regularly.

Also, you'll need to get your Jeep regeared.

And if you go over a 3" lift you'll need at least a new front axle.

Welcome! :)

 I actually pictured a life raft on top of the Jeep. Lol.

I am looking to spend around $1,300-$1,500 for the kit. I will be upgrading the front and rear bumpers

I was looking at the AEV dual sport XT 2.5 kit and adding on the AEV geometry correction front control arm drop brackets and running 35's. If I do this set up will I need to get some different driveshafts or will the stock ones work?

Your stock shafts will be fine with a 2.5 kit.

BigDjeep 03-07-2012 06:36 PM

Will they withstand the added weight of the 35's
