Have a stock 2010 jk sport..... Can I run 305/65/17 on a 17x8 with 4.5" backspacing? Was planning on going with 285/70/17, but saw a jku yesterday with 305/65/17 and absolutely loved the way it looked. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Yeah, I read that thread......lots of great info! Just wanted to make sure though because the wheels I ordered come in a 17x8 with 4.5 and a 17x9 with 4.06 backspacing. I didn't specify so not sure which they ordered for me. Just wanted to make sure the 305 would fit on the 8" wheel. Plus, there's not alot out there about the 305 as opposed to the 285 and worried about the wider tire rubbing. This is my first jeep, plus my first vehicle ever that I'm putting aftermarket wheels on. So, I'm a real noob at this.

Either of those wheels would work, though the 4.06 backspaced one would stick out nearly a half inch more. And no issue with the 305 on either of those.
