doubt most of you have heard...

of these tires: Fedima Extreme Evolution.
http://www.offroadtarvike.fi/renkaat_fedima.html

im wanting new rubber but not wanting to pay for shipping costs (shipping to apo is usually around $200), so i went looking locally and found these for about 80 euro a pop (about $115). to give you an idea of pricing, bfg m/t in 33" are 190 euro each (about $280), and they only had 2 of those in stock. the only problem with the e/e is that they only come in 31" 10.50/15 and i was looking to get 33s as im also doing a lift soon (nothing major, only 3-4 inch). also, i will more than likely be buying a new set of tires in a year when i get stationed in alaska, so these will only have to last me that long on this tiny island.

so should i go ahead and get these or bide my time until i find a deal on something else (maybe 33s)?

those look like a copy of the yokohama geolander m/t. (plus lugs on the sidewall)

The Trail comes in 33's, have you looked at them? They all look similar to US tires, but with a little better prices.

Looks like some off shoot of Interco. The Trial, Trial ADE, and the Maxima are all pretty much exact replica's of the SX, Bogger etc....

the only ones that the shop had were the extreme evo.

thanks nico those are some insane low prices, but when you start getting to the larger sizes the price goes up to about the same. where are they based out of? i was looking local because of the high shipping costs.

yes there is an aafes, but when i asked about ordering tires i was told id have to pay the shipping. maybe its bad information, because everyone who isnt military working on base are local portugese civilians and trying to explain what i want to them is like trying to explain what i want to my 2 year old. (no offense to any portugese out there, its just a language barrier) i went to the aafes website and of course, just like everything military, its contracted out to 2 other websites (depending what brands you are looking at) and both ask if it will be shipped to apo, and then add on shipping charges in the total. the prices are so-so ($173 for bfg mt 32") but theres still shipping fees.

i found a website tonight that im gonna call about on monday. its http://www.nebraskatire.com/ and theres a section under the light truck area that has "price fighter" tires. to quote,

"Our Price Fighter Tires are for the value-minded customer. We purchase deals from major tire manufacturers and pass the tremendous savings on to you. If you don't see your size listed, give us a call, we can probably get it for you! any size only $76.99"

and,

"Price Fighter Tires are typically from one of the following categories: Overstocks Appearance Blems Take Offs"

for under $80 a piece, ill take some ugly tires and run them into the ground. and if they charge the same shipping costs as most other places, ill still be paying less than for those euro tires.

MiiG HID ...not cheep but defanently get the job done:D

also wanted to give you a heads up on some of the tires in your first post.

Most are not "DOT" approved. I looked into getting the "Fedima Sirocco's" when i was at Ramstein AFB but desided against them since I needed them in the US. :wavey:
