265/75r16

Quick question here mates before I run into any kind of trouble.

What kind of lift do I need to run a 265/75r16 Tyre on my 2004 Rubicon. Is a 2inch lift kit enough? when I say lift kit I mean 4 2inch coils and proper shocks to match. I plan on running the stock moab wheels.

Mind you I am not talking about a mall crawler here, I hit the trails with my mates 2 or 3 times a week, so I am looking for something completely functional here.

Any input, or hopefully a pic or two, will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
RJM

2 or 2.5 inch spacer or coil lift will fit 265's with no problems.

I have that size tire on a stock 05 LJ and have had no issues, albeit I haven't wheeled very hard and its in the low desert

True you can fit 265/75's on a stock tj/lj and shouldnt have many issues with rubbing on the control arms while turning as its only about a 10.5 inch wide tire but its also about a 32 inch tall tire, so its going to limit your flex offroad and, especially if you disconnect, you'll rub pretty bad into the fenders if you flex it out. If any type of moderate to heavy wheeling is in your plans you'd be much better off with a 2 or 2.5" lift if you wanna run 265/75's.

They'll fit but without a lift you'll get some rubbing offroad.

I run 265/75/16 on my Sahara with 2" BB and I can get full flex without any rubbing. I have 2" bumpstops extensions in the front and 2" longer sway bar liks at the rear.

265/75/16's comes out to being around a 32in tire so with the 2-2.5in lift you'll be good to go even if you disconect

I know this is old, but do you have pictures of this with 265/75 sitting on a flat surface.

What formula did you use to calculate this?
I'm not questioning your math, I just want to know for future reference. :)
