I have a 91 Jeep renagage and it leaks fuel out on the right side of the gas tank. It only does it once and a while. But when it does it it leaks bad and all over the exhaust. Does anybody know where I should start or has ran into this problem?

I had this happen in my 89 2.5L, it was the rubber tube that went up to the roll over valve. pull down the plastic on that side and put some googles on and grab a flash light and have a look. Some rubber gloves might not be a bad idea either, gas on your hands or in your eyes would be bad.
On the first picture I posted [8j14 3200A] items 19 - 27. If you look at the breakdown of the 14.5gallon gastank. You can see 2 tubes coming out the right side.
Thats where I had my leak.
If you have a 20 gallon tank however it might be in a different place. The only hoses you can not inspect easily is the return hose and fuel hose that attach at the top of the fuel sending unit, which is on the top of the fuel tank.

Why would it only leak every once and while

Mine would only leak when the tank was full enough that it could slosh out of those tubes.

Chances are its the rollover valve or connection, you can see it in pic#8J14 as #20......advice is to run most of the gas out and drop the tank,,,then you can check all the rubber grommets at the rollover valves and the fuel pump gasket as well as the lines...
