Hey AV....How are you dealing with the license plate illumination requirement here in Cali?

Justin 01-05-2008 07:25 PM

autozone sells them in the truck accessory isle

Check out a truck stop, or a truck supply shop.

They sell those license plate bolts with the lights in them. Any parts store should have those.

I installed my flush tail lights last weekend. Went to a local semi dealership and bought the 4" stop/turn/tail lights. For back-ups I bought some interior dome lights (about 1" x 3") with 6 bright LED's. For side markers, I bought little " single LED lights that just press in. I think all the lights are made by Truklite. Be sure that you buy the EL-12 flashers for the fuse box or your turn signals might not work with the LED's. The license plate light is from AutoZone. It looks blue in the photos but is bright white. Total for all lights, pigtail, flashers and misc. $125.00 Sorry about the bad photos.

I think you mistyped it. they make your jeep lighter vs the stock tornado shelter tail lights therefore it will feel like they added .1876554 hp :wavey:

Those are surface mounts and they have all the features you need, but I wouldn't consider them custom.
They do bolt right up and plug in to the factory harness though, so install should be really easy. It took me most of a day to do my lights but I,m no mechanic.

rubixcube79 03-12-2008 07:15 PM
