Suprise!

yes my lift is on!
its only a 3 inch suspension lift (thats a joke for some of you on here haha)
I started at 1:30 pm today, with a buddy and his dad
we ended at 8:30 pm
all we need to do is the rear sway bar links
and I'm getting new tires tomorrow!!!:flipoff:

tiny terror 01-05-2008 01:08 AM

Very nice, Rather...... um.... do those lights make it go faster???

RatherBNarizona 01-05-2008 01:15 AM

well no
but they help me pick up chicks! (not that I need help anyway!)

AzTJ 01-05-2008 01:31 AM

DAMN! You do need new tires! :D

Which kit did you go with? I think you need a new track bar next. :D

Look good man! But really, ditch the x-mas lights. :D

RatherBNarizona 01-05-2008 01:58 AM

:flipoff:

haha yeah I forgot to put that
see what happenz when I'm fallen asleep a the comuter?
the track bar is next
probably next week
and the xmas lights will stay! until tomorrow :punk:

foxinthemudd 01-05-2008 02:08 AM

looks great RBNM, can't wait to see the other pics...:wavey:

Texapple 01-05-2008 10:32 AM

good job - looks great

bluvikng 01-05-2008 10:39 AM

Nice job!!!!!!

Scout 01-05-2008 10:41 AM

Good work! Congratulations!

4.0l sahara 01-05-2008 10:43 AM

Nice now remove the lights and paint the flairs and get rid of the jugs and it'll look great.

Scoob 01-05-2008 11:24 AM

Looks great, what is wrong with your rims that wont hold a 33" tire?

RatherBNarizona 01-05-2008 11:50 AM

thanks guys
the rims are only 15 X 7, in order to have 33's I would need 15X8 rims at least
I'm gonna ask the tire guy more about it today
and I'll get more pics up today or tomorrow with the new tires

4point 01-05-2008 02:37 PM

Looks good. Get some tires under it. :D

RatherBNarizona 01-05-2008 06:30 PM

bad news
I need new rims
tires will have to wait a little longer :(

RatherBNarizona 01-05-2008 07:35 PM

this is a noob question
but how much backspace do I have?
I am looking at rims, some rims have 5 inch backspace, some have 4.5 inches
does it really matter?

stinger124 01-05-2008 07:37 PM

Jeep looks much better... Now... Plug in the lights... I wanna see them.

bluvikng 01-05-2008 08:37 PM

Yes, it matters. You need at least a 3.75" back space, if you don't want any tire rub, at full turn.

machine 01-05-2008 11:06 PM

what kit is that? and about how much was it?

debruins 01-05-2008 11:10 PM

you need 3.75 or 4 inches of BS

RatherBNarizona 01-05-2008 11:45 PM

so does the 4.5 inches of backspace vs 5 inches really matter that much?

and I got the 3 inch suspension lift from Full Traction
I think it was around $500
I also got Pro Comp shocks, with the whole thing (shipping and everything) it was around $600

YES it does matter. And i would suggest you get some with 3.75 bs:wavey:

RatherBNarizona 01-06-2008 12:18 AM

thats tough to find
I am only finding 4.5 and 5 inch backspacing
suggestions???

Triple88a 01-06-2008 04:47 AM

What kind of rims are you looking at? Like what style do you like? the stock rims are 5.5" back spacing.. the lower the number the more the tires will stick out..

Some skinny 33s should fit on your stock rims however they will rub on full turns.

I agree with Stinger though, i wanna see it with the xmass lights on.

american racing, eagle alloys, us wheels, cragar wheels, procomp wheels, mickey thompson wheels. and many more.

what size wheel are you looking for? 15'' 16''? what style you looking for aluminum, crome, steel???

:wavey:

mrbigjeep 01-06-2008 03:06 PM

you could fit 33x10.50's on those wheels with minimal or no rubbing (steer stop mod would fix minimal rubbing). your 7" wide wheels will work fine with 32x11.50's but you may need spacers.

sgnellett 01-06-2008 03:29 PM

Or, you could be like Trip, put 3" of BL on and leave the stock tires on it, cuz thats a good look!

Also, if you do that, be sure to disconnect some various suspension components for no valid reason, just to see what it does to your on-road handling! :flipoff:

 :wavey:

AzTJ 01-06-2008 04:06 PM

You'll find that aluminum wheels will have greater backspacing than steel wheels. RB - there was a guy on the VJC that has some 31" Baja claws and aluminum rims or like $500.

RatherBNarizona 01-06-2008 05:27 PM

thanks guys!
I am looking for 15x8 rims (I am looking for used ones now)
these are the ones I want, but something close to these would be ok
Mickey Thompson's
(chrome)

bpowa 01-06-2008 09:41 PM

my wheels are 15x7 i just add a couple of washers on the steer stop and are fine.. i got 32x 11.5 BTW

Darton 01-06-2008 10:19 PM

When I worked at the accessory shop I sold quite a few of those M/T wheels. They look really nice all mounted up.
