Ive got a 2000 4.0 On the side of the Intake manifold there are 3 vacuum ports, Today while working on the jeep i noticed there was nothing on the first port (closest th the front of jeep) and it was just sucking air, i looked for a hose that may of come unplugged but found nothing. Does anyone have any idea what goes on there? I bought a rubber cap and capped it off for now.... thx....
yep...thats the one....I guess i did the right thing by putting a cap on it...now i wonder how long its been that way...it was sucking in massive amount of air....thanks for the help....:thumb:

Yep, that's the one that should be capped. I believe and correct me if I'm wrong but that port is for automatic transmissions. On mine, I couldn't find why I was having pulsing RPM spikes and throwing an RPM error code  until I finally saw that a few months later.
