Disabling interior lock?

Is it possible to disable the interior lock mechanisim? That way you can only lock/unlock the door with the key. Keeping someone from stealing the doors when the soft top is on. I never ride around with doors locked anyway.

It probably is by removing the panel and disconnecting whatever latch is back there. It might take some slight fabrication. But taking the panel off is definitely not recommended. Honestly, the best way to protect your doors is those door stud locks or even just the regular nut. It takes too long to remove.
