New dirveshaft or keep damaged one?
Ok, so my saga continues. I pulled my front driveshaft to rid myself of the angry sparrows. I made the decision to take it to my local 4X4 shop to do it since I don't have the tools to do it myself. U joint press + U joints + tax = just as much as having my shop do it. I then planned on sanding and priming the shaft after they were done.
Well, upon further inspection of said driveshaft, I notice a dimple in it the size of a quarter. I call Florida drivetrain & hydraulic. They explain to me that they can replace my joints, spin the shaft, try to weight it, but may have to re-tube it if the dimple is as big as I'm claiming it is. Cost: Over $300. F that.
I then find this replacement driveshaft for $150. Comes with fresh joints, balanced. Any thoughts on this?

$300 seems high to have your old shaft rebuilt, I just had my front and rear redone with all new u joints (6 ujoints) 2 cv rebuild kits a new slip shaft in the rear, balanced and painted for under $500
The shaft on the website seems a little on the cheap side, in the picture it has no cv, just ujoints on both ends and that my be why its $150... i would call them and see...
