how often are your doors off?
I generally live by "tops off doors off" unless I need the doors with me (crappy weather, long highway trips)

They are only on during the winter.

Doors off (check)

Top off (check) :punk:

That's what makes a Jeep a Jeep! :thumb:

'nuff said

Mine won't go on again unless it's supposed to rain or I gotta take a road trip (and even on the road trip it'll just be doors, unless it's raining.)

Redsand 03-14-2012 07:55 PM

As long as its warm and dry only a safari top, (my rampage bowless top with the windows out)

cavsvet74 03-14-2012 08:02 PM

As often as possible.:thumb:

dirt dawber 03-14-2012 08:32 PM

Mine stay off, the jeep stays parked in the barn ready for good weather at a moments notice.

Z-TJ 03-14-2012 08:32 PM

From spring to fall doors and top off!!!

cocky grin 03-14-2012 09:28 PM

Jeep_Gypsy 03-14-2012 09:34 PM

So long as it's above 43 degrees my doors and more often then not my top is off.

BayouBengal 03-15-2012 07:36 AM

top down when its 50+ degrees and doors off when its a little warmer (like today)

cavediverjc 03-15-2012 08:18 AM

My doors and top have been off, literally, since the day I bought my Jeep. :D

The agreement with my wife is I wouldn't drive around with her or my daughter with the top/doors off. So during the school year, they are on. On some days I'll pop off the top on the way home from work or on the weekend. I take my daughter to the sitter during the day, so the top is on if I'm working.

However, the doors came off for Spring Break and stayed off. I left the top on, we have had showers off and on.

CMA_Rider 03-15-2012 08:47 AM

Anytime I get the chance... they're off right now

LilYeller 03-15-2012 08:51 AM

Mine are only on when its raining for more than 2 days in a row. Otherwise they are off... kids, wife, dog, all deal with it or they take her car lol. Honestly they love it when the top is off, I take my daughter to school every morning with them off and she loves it.

blkrubi88 03-15-2012 08:57 AM

Mine are off 98% of the time from now til sonetime in Oct.

y0diggity 03-15-2012 09:59 AM

I took my top off yesterday for the first time. I'm thinking when it rains, I'll just put the very top on and leave the sides and back off. Thinking about the doors today...

That's what I do if I have my back seat out but when its in I just throw on the sides and never the back.....just isn't worth it

denisbaldwin 03-15-2012 03:17 PM

Your jeep has top and doors? Really?

Casotakar1229 03-15-2012 03:47 PM

never had them off yet! only owned my jk a little under 2 weeks. weather is too variable right now to take the doors off, but I have had the top off many times already. looking to get the side view mirror relocation kit before I take doors of though.

SteelBlue44 03-15-2012 03:59 PM

Once the warm weather starts, doors are off for the whole summer. Even when it rains, thats what drain plugs are for:thumb:. Although the top does stay on so my seats aren't completely soaked:D

pasteris71 03-15-2012 08:42 PM

Once late spring early summer hits, doors and top get stored in garage. I have a cabin cover that in case if rains goes over my Jeep and keeps it dry. Costs about $149 but well worth it to be topless and doorless!

Slimpickins 03-15-2012 08:56 PM

Doors are coming off for the first time tomorrow. I already took the screws out. I generally never have my freedom tips on. Cleaning out the garage this weekend and plan on taking the entire top for the first time since I will have room for it.

chopprr 03-16-2012 01:50 AM

I took my top and all the hardware off yesterday. So today i took the half doors off too. Not going back on any time soon.
My girlfriend say i won't remember how to put them back on. Ya she's probably right. So ill be checking the wf some time this fall for a link. Lol.

VincentC804 03-16-2012 05:26 PM

Doorless oh yeah!
Nothing like rippin the doors in Virginia at dusk it's killer drivin through the country side and smellin the smells and feeling the air. We have a plant/flower here that smells like black pepper dont know what it is but it really takes me back to my early crazy Jeep years when I smell it...

corigirlloves 03-16-2012 05:47 PM

As much as possible. The mountains weathers is hard to predict, like yesterday i got caught in the rain without them and now theyre back on and its sunny.

texasdave 03-16-2012 05:49 PM

Just got mine today...... as soon as I get the right size torques head, my doors are off!!!!

LJMJ 03-16-2012 05:50 PM

Gonna take 'em off for first time tomorrow. It rains here a lot, so I've got to watch the radar.
(actually had them off momentarily today, just to break the hinges loose, but didn't have the mirrors on hand)
I also need to set something up in the garage to store them on.
