Hello All. New to some Jeep modifications, so would appreciate advise. I am thinking of removing my 6" shackles and installing shackles which would give me about a 2'' raise. I am running stock tires on my 91 Jeep Wrangler, and would like to install 30/31" on a 15" rim. Question: How long are the shackles which would give me this height, and what size tire should I be looking at? Just normal dirt/muddy mountain trails...nothing too serious. Thanks for any info

Typically if you get a 2in shackle life its only 1in because your lifting one side of leaf spring. So basically half of advertised. You can fit 30s stock no prob. If seen 31s with just a small shckle lift. But it also toes front tires in so be sure to align it afterwards

Thanks Mallia420. Do you know how long those types of shackles are? If mine are 6", then I suspect those to buy should be at least 8" long....Thanks again.

Stock shackles are 4" center of bolt. If you have 6" then you already have a 1" lift. Add 2" for every 1" of lift.
