Help!!! 730n security code!!!

So with bad forum information, I unplugged my 730n, and now it's asking me for a security code. I thought the code is internal and it matches to the vin but I guess now. What do I do???!

I never did find this out, but I disconnected the battery for 10 minutes or so and it stopped asking me.

Just called Jeep and the lady told me the default is 0000. I'll give that a shot. Hope I don't brick the radio.

I can't remember if you start your Jeep with the radio off and then turn the radio on while the Jeep is running or if you start your Jeep with the radio already on, but which ever one it is, the security screen will go away. It is a security measure to keep the radio from working if someone steals it. Once the Jeep is on, the radio realizes that it is supposed to be working in that Jeep. I've had this issue when I disconnected the radio to install the LockPick or if I disconnected the battery.

Apparently when the radio loses power, it has to synch with the Jeep internals and your ignition key to determine if it is installed in the correct vehicle. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but starting your Jeep will fix it.

Wierd. Unplugged it again, waited 5 minutes, plugged it back in, didn't ask for a code.

I can fix it for you. Just send me your radio and I'll apply the "130 (RES)" fix and send it back to you :D

:D thanks fellas. Anyone know if there is a good ground near the passenger seat???

Any of the seat bracket bolts would work just fine.
