Anyone mount a bottle cap opener?

Saw here a long time ago an old school bottle cap opener ( for sodapop, of course...) mounted to the lift gate area. Does anyone have one and can you take a pic of where you put it? Thanks in advance!!

I've seen a pic of one on here. it was on the bumper I believe. that'd be handy to have for all those soda pops...

Thank you! That was the one! Must do before trout opens and the phillies tailgates start up!

You go with Dr. Pepper or Pepsi during those pursuits?

Depends on my company.

Could be a Lionshead or Yuengling Lager, or a Yards Pugilist or Flying Fish IPA.

I'll slum it some days and take a pbr

Nice.

Man, I overdid pbr in my youth. That, and Black Label. :nonono:

I've seen pics and I like the idea, but it implies both an amount of bottle opening and a level of hip sociality that I simply do not posses.

DonC72 03-15-2012 05:39 PM

Lol. I hear you. I wonder if going with the vertical screws makes any difference with strength on a fender mount. I'll have to ask the OP of that other thread to see why he chose that way.

Dont forget tailgaiting for the birds and flyers seasons too!

I'm a big Yueng and Yards fan too, but this works best for Corona's in the summer when
I'm in North Wildwood.

I like Oh9JK's thinking, thats perfect.

Your jeep comes with some already 4 with unlimited's and 2 with regulars

Saw someone on here with an Orange Crush one on a Crush, but it was on the front bumper.

The screws have held up fine so far. I can still step up to larger screws if these pull out of the plastic.

Did you drill thru and have to bolt it with washers on the back side ?

Sheet metal screws, with a little pressure they bore right into the plastic and the threads are thick enough to hold. Just like mounting the front lisence plate.

Bolting it through will be plan "c" if the screws don't hold.

DonC72 03-16-2012 11:01 PM

Gotcha, what size did you use?

mattdenney07 03-16-2012 11:51 PM

DonC72 03-17-2012 06:41 AM

Nice! I'm gonna pop on a set on ginsu cutlery just to separate my Jeep from the pack. :)

Kidding.

If I remember correctly Jerry has one welded on the side of his jeep, near where the stickers usually go.

I'm not exactly sure, #10 maybe, 1" or 1-1/4". They were the first ones I found that the head didn't fall through the mounting hole. I have a small bucket full of misc. nuts and bolts etc. that I dig into before a trip to the hardware store.:D
