Try DesertRat.com they have some really good prices on a wheel/tire packages. If you don't see what you like give them a call and their costumer service can help you out.

Wild Country MTX are pretty nice. Not much road noise with the doors off. Gotten me through some pretty nasty stuff!

Big Cole 03-17-2012 06:32 AM

Craigslist. Recently, I snagged a brand new set of Maxxis Bighorns on mint condition Moabs for a great price.

I just put 4 33" National Chaparral M/T tires on. They are awesome! 218 a piece is what I paid.

alice the cat 03-21-2012 12:17 AM

I just ordered these...

Dick Cepek Crusher Tires Ship FREE, LOWEST PRICES on Crusher Tires 31X10.50R15LT

I have spent a lot of money with these guys and they always take good care of me. Can't wait till tomorrow to see the tires in person. Good luck in your search.

alice the cat 03-21-2012 01:01 AM

I forgot to mention that you should always call 4wheelonline as they usually will knock off a few bucks more. Also my tires were $241 each shipped with no tax making it the best deal I could find on the Crushers.
The last shipment I received from them was a little bigger but they had the best price on them as well.

I purchase my tires through Costco. Great roadside protection plan that is included in their price.

Since when was this a hummer forum?:D

AtlFalcon01 03-21-2012 11:57 AM

Depends on what you want but I'll tell you I had Boggers on my old TJ and they lasted about 25,000 miles and would slide in the rain when I braked but were great in the mud! I also had a pair of Pro-comp Mud terrains and they were great. I think I may run some procomp X-terrains next but not sure. Good luck hunting!

Buffalo 03-21-2012 12:11 PM

I also did a ton of research and have decided on the Kumho KL71 for my 05 JL Rubicon. Posted over in tires. I looked at the BFG KM2, Maxxis Trepador, Cooper STT (close 2nd) and several others. As mentioned above, really depends on what you're doing. Me, I'm 50/50 street/dirt, rock, mud and needed something that would last more than 20k miles.

KM2's just came off national backorder but I read a lot of negative reviews about it's sidewall, performace when air'd down, etc.

Good luck man!

 just kidding

My favorite would be the Interco Trxus mt in that size, but then again my TJ is a 70% street 30% trail machine. They grip well on wet asphalt and do an excellent job for my kind of wheeling while still giving the Jeep that aggressive look that we all love. If you plan on doing more off roading than road driving I would go for some non-directional Iroks in that size.

I know I am partial towards Interco tires, but I've been using Interco tires for the past 10 years on 15 different Jeeps and have yet to be disappointed by any set. The trick is to know what you're looking for Exactly.

Tirerack.com I got my wheels and tires from them, Dick Cepek DC2 15x8/Goodyear Duratracs 33x12.50x15, came to the house, mounted-balanced with warranty for $1326.00

I'm very happy with the Duratracs! Quiet on road, great in the rain, mud and sand.

Dragonii 03-22-2012 10:08 AM

I got my 33x12.5x15 Duratracs for $180 each at the local Goodyear. I told what I had found online and he beat it.

It was at a local Goodyear shop. I first called him and asked how much he would charge me to mount some tires if I ordered them online. He said "how much are you getting them for online?".... then he beat the price.

It was the Goodyear in Kenner by the Esplanade mall. His name is Kevin. I know him from back when I worked for Autozone... not well enough to give me a "better than anyone else" deal, but I trust him. lol
