Road Trip

My daughter Stormie and I are leaving for Colorado tomorrow. My x took the other 2 kids to KY and she didn't want to go so I told her we would take a road trip and she chose Co. My she's a bright girl, she get's that from her father. We have family and friends there so it should be a great time. We are taking the Saharah so we can enjoy some offroad time if the trails permit. It's the first time Storm and I have taken a trip by ourselves. I have only been divorced for about a year and I think she's feelin a little left out. I hope this is a great trip, something she will remember for a lifetime. Wish me luck.

any suggestions?

Suggestions? Pictures of the trip :) .

My wife did a blog about our 8,600 mile cross country and back RV trip last year. That'd be a great project for a young lady to organize and update. Family and friends can regularly follow your progress. Here is ours for ideas.

The rockies are going to be a fun drive.. I had to go through them on an 18 wheeler 80K lbs and no jake brake... No fun..

safe trip and have fun. since I am a total food lover and love everything food, I would scope out great restaurants and pit stops on food channel. shows like diners, drive-ins, and dives, man vs food, etc all mark some of the best restaurants. suggestion= find the best food joints (whether for burgers or tacos or donuts). makes me want to drive out and find some food now...damn.

We made it to Denver, but not without some trouble. We were stopped by some fine deputy sherriff west of Woodward OK. No tailights!!!!!!!!!!!! I had repaired some wiring on the pass front signal. It shorted so it blew the tailights. After a 3 hour delay we were back on the road. This morning I'm taking Storm indoor skydiving shopping and some chow. Toworrow we haead into the Rockies, destination unknown.

In Aurora and Ft. Collins there are some AWESOME indoor shooting ranges. Not sure if you and her are into that, but really nice places. They have rentals there as well, if you don't happen to take one with you when you travel. A good chance to try out some different things and I've discovered that women tend to end up embarrassing us men after a few minutes of getting accustomed to the gun. :)
