Trektop NX install (tailgate pics?)

Anyone have any good pics of the back window / tailgate bar. Mine lacks about an inch even making contact with the tailgate. I believe it is supposed to be level with the tailgate when it is closed. Maybe I'm doing something horribly wrong but wondering if anyone has any pics or tips.

I'm on day 2 of trying to get the full top put on....man is it tight. Hopefully it gets easier. Going to sit in the sun again tomorrow and try to get it finished up.

Gimme 15 I'll snap some pics.

Man...thanks a bunch. Actually...I can get the clips to reach and clip in....but when the tailgate door is closed....the bar doesn't seem to come low enough and/or touch the gate.....I'm pretty sure rain will just run right down the window and inside. ANy ideas? Does yours close nice and tight?

Sounds like the bar may be in backward.

Try to turn the bar around or try to switch the direction that you are plugging it into the slots. I know that when I put mine on I had to turn it so that the top turned with it...I know confusing...sorry

That's the way mine does. It kind of rolls down into the brackets.

That's exactly what I was trying to say! Haha thanks for clearing that up!

On mine, it rolls into the bracket, but seems like it should go further into it. There is also a 1/4" or so gap between the rear window and tailgate. Is that common with the NX?

It took me almost 6 months to finally get my rear window to sit on the tailgate bar right. Mine is about a full inch short so I usually don't tighten anything down until I lock the back window in first then put in the bars that lock into the door surrounds and so on.

Try opening the sun rider, it may take some pressure off of the rear, I haven't had this problem, it was tight though and I had to roll it in. Also, see if ith straps on the roll bar are positioned forward where the straps connect to the top or if they can be pulled back some. My only thoughts as to why it would sit so short.

I think the best way that has worked for me is to make sure that you start all the zippers. When they are all started finish zipping all of them and then move onto the plastic stripping...pretty hard to do by yourself and for the first couple weeks!

THanks for the help on the tailgate bar guys. I finally got it. I had it right but a) didn't let the material sit/stretch enough first and then b) didn't know I had to roll it into/under the brackets. Seals right up now and for what its worth....undoing / redoing the windows etc today was much easier (ie...possible) than it was that first day. Hopefully it will get a tad bit easier because the zippers are still a challenge but I LOVE THE TOP
