In the steering column I broke the liitle plastic sleeve that the wire and spring go in for the horn to make contact. How do I replace that and is it a difficult task. Thanks, Matt

I have new horns but when I changed the steering wheel last week I ended up breaking that sleeve some how.

Today I was honking at some lady who was sitting at a green light and talking on the phone. My horn is so bad I can't hardly even hear it.

when i put the tilt colume in my 89 yj the horn wouldn't work so being laszy at the time I hard wired the horn threw a 10amp fuse and the battery with a push puttin toggle I put it up on the dash by the vin # works great and i didn't have to pull the stearing wheel off to check for that dame plate or wires
and I even added a secound horn there realy nice and louad now lol:punk:

I mounted a Big Boy 135 dbl horn(25 bucks from harbor tool) in the stock horn space. I just mounted a push button I got from pep boys on the center console. I love it, nice and loud and didn't have to mess with the steering colunm.

Are all of you complaining because you can't honk at people? Do what I always do, take the horn out of any vehicle I own, and then drive courteously. If you aren't in such a big hurry, you won't get old so fast.

I agree with Smeghead I have a train air horn and it is a blast of fun. you can't help but to jump when it goes off. nothing like seeing dogs, cats going verticle then falling because their feet can't seem to go fast enough..
