Request for a JKU Arctic owner please

Picking up my JKU Arctic 6 June in Tenn, plan on bringing 5-6 big pieces of lugggage. Can somebody please measure the rear storage area with the seatback up, 1-length from seatback to rear door, 2-width from side to side, and 3-height from floor to ceiling?
Also can you do the same measurements with the single seat side folded up as well? Realy appreciate this as we're moving from Germany back to the states and need to bring as many bags as we can. Thanks.

You know the cargo space is the same in all jku's, regardless of its color....

I know it's the same for all JKU's but since that's the particular model we're getting why not.

@RoobyRoo-all that gives me is the total cargo capacity behind the second row, I need measurements so I know for sure how many of the type of luggage I have will fit, of all the Arctic JKU owners out there at least one could hook a brother up with some figures and even non Arctic owners as well since some took offense at me being specific.

If you bought the dual top package you will also have the top taking up some space in the back along with the boxes with the bows and windows in them..just fyi

thanks jimmysmith, that's the kind of info I need, figured I'd pull a tiny UHaul from Tenn to OK but was trying to get away from that. It is coming with the dual top package too.

Seat up to rear door is about 31 inches.
Between wheel wells is about 44 inches.
Cargo floor to roll bar is about 36 inches.

Don't hold me to any of the measurements. I literally spent 15 secs on it running out the door today.

That comes out to under 30 cubic feet. Not sure where Jeep finds so much extra to claim over 46 cubic feet. Math...whatever. FWIW I fit 3 adults, 2 kids, a 35 pound dog in a dog crate, a snowboard and boots, a medium cooler, a pack and play, and 5-6 bags with clothes, toys, and winter gear, plus my hi-lift and jeep tool bag in my JKU. It's got lots of room.

Did you consider the space above the wheel wells?

thanks RubyRoo and above the wheel wells would be great info too.

I mean RoobyRoo, sorry long ass day here in Germany.

Casotakar1229 03-20-2012 12:26 PM

with the rear seat folded forward, I would expect that you'd be able to fit at least 5 pieces of luggage that you'd check on an airplane weighing in at 50lbs a piece. might have to tetris it in though.
