TH350 4WD or 2WD?

Hey guys. I bought a sbc 350 and am currently looking for a th350. I found a freshly rebuilt th350 with a shift kit but it's a 2WD, is that ok? or do i need a 4WD? My 350 is stock. Im going to be using a Np231 The shop want 400$ for the 2WD or 550$ for the 4WD

the output shaft is longer on a 2wd.

So um guessing I want a 4WD so theres less driveline angle

you are using your stock NP231 right? if so it does not matter 2 or 4 wheel drive as you will need an adapter to run your stock t case. that will run you right around 500 bucks. i just bought one tonight

i actually don't know. all i know is that is literally the only difference between the two. the internals are all identical. you could swap out the output shaft on the 2wd to a 4wd if you find it needs to be shorter, but by the time you did that you'd have been better off with the 4wd to start with.

correct im using a np231 from my wrangler YJ I have a SYE and Cv shaft already. I will be buying a converter. So scense the 2wd and 4wd will both work.. I am going to get the 2wd because its cheaper.
