No Top------LET IT RAIN

I've got about an inch of mud on my dash from having the windows down last trail ride....or mud fest....its everywhere....seats, windshield, floor, dash, center console....get the idea? I'm thinking about pulling the plugs and letting it rain in the Jeep. Bad idea? What/how should I do this?

Can't be any worse than getting that much mud in there.

if its dry I would scrape it while holding a shop vac close to where your cleaning...get the dash clean and then turn too with a power washer on everything from the dash back. I wouldn't want rain to get into anything behind there, especially the steering area. Imagine chasing those electrical gremlins...

I would rather be in control than let mother nature do it...she really doesn't do a good job, your still gonna have to go in and get the mud off, now its just gonna be embedded deeper into the dash or at the least still on the floors.

Let it dry. Somewhat of a stiff brush and a leaf blower.

You could do this with the old CJs. They were basically like tractors, rain didn't bother them much.

Not a good idea with TJs, too many unprotected electronics/connections in the steering column. Plenty of posts out on the net about the results of rain getting into TJ steering columns.

I'm in the same situation...but I still have the dreaded carpet so I'm nervous about letting it rain in it. Although this morning a random drizzle gave me a wet ride to school.

I have mud just about everywhere. Not coated but there are chunks here and there...

I like this idea! The neighbors will probably hate it though. :)

Whether you plan to leave it out in the rain, or hose it out yourself, I recommend you get yourself a Dirty Mudder Column Cover before you ruin your clockspring.
