My wife and I bought 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport S package stock. We love it a whole lot. When we bought it we were told Jeep people are a tight community of owners, I thought they were over exaggerating, but after we were waved at by the first 5 jeep owners we passed I was a believer. I was searching for some mods the other day and found the forum. So howdy.
The Jeep community is very close, it is common for another Jeeper to help another Jeeper out, that's what we do and who we are :)

We are not that far from you! Lansing-ish Area here. :thumb: Where did you get your Jeep, if you don't mind me asking?
We "might" head over to Mesick for the Blessing of the Jeeps in May, but are not sure yet. I have heard that it's a lot of fun and stock Jeeps have a course just for themselves! We are not quite bone stock, but pretty close.

We went to Dick Scott Motormall in Fowlerville. We had stopped at Champion Chrysler Jeep in Lansing, but we had such a terrible experience that we left and took our business elsewhere.
A close friend of our wanted to get a Jeep, he is here on a work visa from Mexico. Since he is from Mexico he can't purchase anything unless he pays cash. He ask if we would consider putting it in our name if he put $12k down. Our credit isn't the best but we figure with that much down it couldn't hurt to try. So we went to Champion and explained it to the sales lady who come out to greet us. We started all the paperwork and it was all going good and than the sales manager came over b/c our credit wasn't perfect and said he was going to work hard to get him in the Jeep he wanted. Typical salesman BS. With that much down no one is going to say no, thatcis almost half the sticker price. Well the sales manager was showing our friend a jeep to test drive, he wanted a black wrangler sport with a hard top. They brought up a green soft top for him to test drive, the sale manager said to take it for a test drive while he works on the bank to approve us. Well our friend thought that this was the one they were going to give him and he wanted to leave, I explained that they brought that one for him to test drive b/c they basically drive the same and that he would get the one he wanted. While we were about to leave to take it for a test drive when my wife came up to me super upset and pissed off and said we were leaving and going somewhere else. I asked why and she told me as the sales manager was walking back inside passed the other sales guys outside smoking said, "picky f$%*ING spick" to one of them. Well he didn't see her standing at the back of the jeep. I said ok, walking into the crowded showroom and said very loudly,"you little racist comment out there just lost you business, and I will be calling the own of this dealership and telling them your a racist and your the reason $12k walked out the door". He tried saying that wasn't what he said anf had another salesman cover and tell us that he would never say anything like that, and my wife was lying and he was Mexican too. We said good day and drove off. Well he got all racist again as we were pulling away said some very offensive racial comments through the window of our car.
We went to Dick Scott and told them what had happened and they bent over backwards to help us. So two years later he had it paid off and we went back there and got ours. So I tell everyone to never go to Champion Chrysler Jeep Racist dealership.
That is quit the story, doesn't seem as long when we tell it in person.LOL

Disappointing story there about Champion! :nonono:
We've been having some issues there of late, but I feel we need to give them one more chance, although SO says no way. He just felt like the purchase of Wrangler number two was not very professional. Keep in mind, this was New Wrangler number two within 7 months of one another, so we have been VERY good customers! One more chance, and that is all they get!
We checked out Dick Scott just last Friday evening, and I was "tempted" to make a call on a nice looking Tow Pig they had there. We really are not in the market though, so we didn't follow it through.

Michigan is full of closed minded racists. doesn't surprise me!
