Have same thing happened to me. Bought 10-30 because they were out of 5-30. Now i get a tick when first started but goes away after the Jeep warms up.

Same here. My 2004 TJ has not hit the 20K mark yet. This is my first oil change after buying it a week ago from the PO. This is my 7th wrangler by the way. Wanted to play it safe so went to the dealer and got the recommended 10-30 from mopar. Now I notice a VERY SLIGHT ticking noise at cold starts and then it goes away after the Jeep warms up. Is this a bad sign already?

i had a small tic, my mechanic told me to bring it in the next day because he was backed up with repairs and stuff. i started my jeep the next day and on my way to work it went from a little tick to a loud LACKA LACKA LACKA LACKA sound, spun a bearing and cracked the crankshaft. $1800 later and i have a jasper motor, new clutch, new flywheel. he felt bad so i got away without having to pay labor.
