which one??? need help deciding

so for my front speakers i cant decide im really split

Pioneer - 5-1/4" 2-Way Car Speakers with Polypropylene Cones (Pair) - TS-G1344R
got them for 32$

or

Polk Audio - 4" x 6" Plate-Mounted Speakers with Poly-Mica Composite Cones (Pair) - DXi460p
got them for 65$

i cut out my old speakers and im using that as the brackets and i need to know which speakers so i can fix the brackets so they fit

I got those exact Polk speakers to replace my front speakers and although they sound lots better than the stock speakers, they aren't near as loud as the mid- price range pioneer speakers I put in the back. So I would vote for the 5 1/4 Pioneer speakers.

really? ok ill give the pioneers a try

AtlFalcon01 03-21-2012 04:09 PM

I just put those pioneers in my front and soundbar and they sound great!

Every ear is different - I use those Polks in my front dash and love them for the clarity and separation. Kickers in the sound bar and stock sub in the console. I won't win any sound competitions, but I'm not trying to.

well i have 6.5 sony explods in my sound bar and 1000w with a sub in the back. so the front i usually get nothing as if i dont have front speakers

KKhamesi 03-21-2012 10:17 PM

i think ill go with the pioneers

I have the setup that you describe above but with a 400 watt amp driving 1 10 along with those pioneers in the front and I hate to say it but unless I lean forward the sound from above and behind overpowers them. It does "fill in" the front though...

Rockford fosgate. Best mid range car audio company in the biz.
