Is 3" suspension and 1.5 BL enough on a 2004 Jeep wrangler to clear 35" tires

You could probably get them in there and be fine on the street but you offroading you might be rubbin a bit

here's 35's with 4" lift and 1" body lift

Do you have a Dana 35 or Dana 44 rear end? And you might be able to fit them, but it wont flex well at all offroad and might rub on turns...

OK, cool! I don't go off road a lot, just every once in awhile. Just wanted to have someone else's opinion. Thanks!! You have a great looking Jeep!!!

I just have factory axles.

the biggest id suggest to go on d35/30s is 33. you could do 35s, but thats when you snap an axle shaft.

stevea 03-21-2012 07:39 PM

Is that off-road or just driving on snapping the axles.

Offroad typically, however you also need to consider regearing. Especially on 35's with stock gears you'll feel like you suddenly lost 100 hp. You'll want at least 4.56, im running 4.88 on mine

stevea 03-21-2012 07:51 PM

Yeah I thought about regearing. Just really going for looks. Have 33s now and want something a little bigger.

old_blue 03-21-2012 07:54 PM

you wont notice a dramatic difference. It'll sit an inch higher. If you have stock gears tho it wouldnt be a consideration as much as a necessity, even just for the street

Its something I will just have to think about. Thanks everyone for the help!!
