Soft Top Suggestion

Noob here. I would like a soft top for the summer months-to replace the hard top. Any suggestions/recs ?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

I run a softopper on mine. Its frameless, it looks good and it is very easy to put on and remove.

I just replaced the soft top on my 2001 Jeep wrangler with a smittybilt that I bought online from Ebay, and it fits awesome! Looks really good and is built nice, and for the price you can't beat it. Mine was about $220 and you can't beat that. Also, it's very easy to take off compared to my old one (Dry rotted and the zippers broke off!), anyway it literally takes less than 10 minutes to put the windows back on, even at night! I love it and was honestly one of the best purchases I've made for my Jeep.

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

^that's the link to the one I bought.

Hope that helps any!!

do u have a tj or a jk?
either way spend the extra money on your soft top. make sure u get a GOOD sailcloth one. bestop is well one of the best and i remember reading somewhere here that they just bought the rights to the factory soft top and one of their models are amazing. however this is if you want framed

edit: http://www.bestop.com/bestop-product/?p=supertop--nx im 98% sure this is the softtop they were talking about.

Yeah, bestop are very good and high quality. I originally wanted a bestop but I was shopping for my new soft top on a budget and the bestop soft top I wanted cost about $400. Another pretty good brand is Pavement Ends that I heard about, you could see how much their's cost. When I originally first started for soft top looking I checked:

Jeep Parts, Jeep Accessories, Jeep Soft Tops at Morris 4x4 Center

But I ended up buying one off Ebay cause even the smittybilt that I bought from Ebay, the same one was on jeep4x4 and it was a little more expensive. So, in all Ebay saved me money. :thumb:

Thanks for the advice. I have a 2012 unlimited(jku?). Do these tops come ready to install or do I need to buy the hardware?

You most likely will retain your OEM hardware unless you go with a frameless top.

I have one of the Bestop Bikini, Duster, & Windjammer combos that has worked out great. I got it last summer, took out my backseat, and I love it. It has a screen window on the back and each piece is connected so it is water tight. It tucks down between the roll bar and sound bar, so the sound bar actually keeps the rain from coming in that back window. It also has a sunrider top, so I can flip it back like a sunroof. I also like the look of the exposed roll bars.
