A/C and Heater problems. HELP!
I've got a 2001 Jeep Wrangler TJ Sport, 4.0L 6 cylinder.

My A/C went out a few years ago and I'm looking to get it fixed. My Dad took a look at it and said it may have a leak but he can't find it. I've put dozens of cans of freon in my car but it only lasts about two weeks before the A/C blows hot air again during the summer. Also, my heater went out last winter as well so it's no longer blowing hot air. I can turn the switches on, but it just blows air, that's it. No matter if I change the setting to hot or cold. Also, very recently I believe the switches started going out. When I put it on a certain setting the fan looses power and barely blows air out, but if I push really hard on the knob it blows normally, but as soon as I let it go, it goes back to barely blowing air. Any suggestions on what the problem could be??

On the air conditioner leaks you can get a filler can that has dye in it so you can locate the leak. Or you can buy a O ring kit and replace all of the O rings in the connectors. That will probably fix the leak problem, the O ring kits are about $12.00.

Did you figure out what was wrong with the air and the heater?
My A/C went out and I had it hooked up at the garage and it was holding the pressure so they said it did not have a leak. They charged it and it was working all the way home. Next day it was no longer working. I let it go since i have the top off all summer anyway.
Then when winter came I tried to turn the heater on and it only blew cold air. I have no idea what the problem is.
