LOL you guys do it as a go fast run and that's our clubs annual "Detach from Civilization" 3 day dessert trip.
Fun trip no matter what the speed.

yea we take 2 days to get to laughlin and one day home, we dont exactly follow the mojave road either. on the way home this year we did it in 5 hours. we could easily do it in 4 if we didnt stop so much lol

fourth picture is epic...looks like a battle march...all the pics are great of course!

Casotakar1229 03-29-2012 09:07 AM

You go all the way to Acton?
We roll from the Avi casino to the Acton campground. We are camping two days in one location this year (Caruthers Canyon) So that should pick the speed up. :thumb:

we eun it both ways, figure hell if were gonna drive to laughlin may as well take dirt. most of our rigs are towed to slash X. we start at harvard road and end at the avi, spend the night at the river palms (the parking garage is secure and perfect for the rigs, wake up and go from the avi back to harvard road.. if we could find the route that starts or ends in barstow we would.

that video is pf me, it looks slower then it is due to camera location, we hit lots of 50mpg in that section. here a video from the guy behind me with the camera mounted lower on his bumper.

i went and looked at the jeep today and he has the same color, same fenders, same rocker guards, and the same wheels/tires. the only difference is it looks like this one has been tipped. did your buddy ever roll his?

htkrph 04-01-2012 09:57 AM

is that XJ running general grabbers?

Rawkon 04-01-2012 12:41 PM

nate, no he hasnt rolled it yet. htkrph, yea he has the red label grabbers,

after a friend played with the photo.

love the HDR on the pic. still like the original better. btw how are they on sand? i have them and i know they are 'baja' inspired never actually ran them on soft sand. mine are running low, in the point to decide wether i get mt/rs or another set of the red letter grabbers

Rawkon 04-01-2012 02:33 PM

my bud says he loves them in everything but snow. they hook great but in the snow he had to make sure he was paying attention.
