Hope you guys missed me. Haha. Looks like you guys had fun this weekend. I got to drive to Vegas in a 2011 dodge charger. Made the curvy roads very fun :-). Sorry Ed black was no luck.

More of my ongoing steering issues. I had centered my steering wheel after going through all the linkage last week. Replaced one questionable TRE. When I got 67 at Westcliff my steering wheel was off 15-20 degrees in the opposite direction from the last go round. And I will swear on a stack of Bibles that I saw the wheel straighten itself out as I was driving. Checked toe in this morning, that hadn't changed but the steering wheel is still off about 5 degrees or so to the right.

This is starting to seriously freak me out...

getting any bind in your trackbar or control arms? if your ride hight is changing your steering wheel will move around.. Mine is still straight

Okay, you are very very close :thumb:

Today I did pull the trackbar, the holes in the track bar were about .050 larger than the 10mm bolt and while the bolt wasn't loose it wasn't tight enough to keep the axle in one place. I could see where it had been moving back and forth. It would have taken quite a bit to move it, but the weekend adventures seem to have been enough. That was the screwiest part of the whole thing, the toe in never change even though the steering wheel kept moving. Drilled out the bushing inset to 7/16 so everything is nice and snug and a 7/16NF and jam nut are going to keep it that way. Hopefully this will be the end of my screwy steering saga.

The control arms shouldn't bind, I have single JJ's on all of them. Plus if my control arms had been binding the toe in would have changed. With the rear and the four link I'll keep rubber on one end to counteract the axle torsion. On the front I may go to doubles unless I decide to three link it. That will all be part of the HP30 build saga...
