New YJ Owner

Hello all. I recently purchased a 1-owner 1993 Wrangler. The previous owner provided me all the maintenance records. The Jeep drives and shifts great. It also goes in and out of 4wd with no problems.

As a new Jeep owner, I wanted to ask you guys if there are any things I could/should do now, from a preventative standpoint, to help ensure the jeep keeps performing well. This is not a daily driver, simply something to drive on those nice southern days to and from the lake. A little about the Jeep:

94k miles, 33"x12.5 tires with a 4" lift, A/C, Soft top only.

No intentions of "off-roading"

Thanks in advance,

Keep her maintained and that's about it if you just plan on using it every so often.

Anything you are wanting to do to it? Welcome btw

Good luck with the YJ. You will soon discover the engineering aspects of jeeps vs other makes. Don't be too concerned if your mechanical skills are not up to date. The machine will make sure it keeps you guessing. Read alot and ask questions. It is half of the ownership pleasures.

When was the last time the universal joints were replaced? If you can't find that in the old records it probably wouldn't be a bad idea.
