What did you pay for your Jeep?

Reading another thread, I got to thinking....It would be cool to have a thread of what peoples sticker price was, what they acually paid for it, and where they bought it. This would give other in the market an idea of what they can expect, or where they should go.
If you wish, you can list your options also.

I will start.

Bought from: Helfman River Oaks in Houston Tx.
MSRP: $38785
Paid: $34785 (I am not in tread lightly stuff)

2012 Arctic JKU.
MSRP $39,065.
OTD $13,575

Oh, I forgot, I had a trade.
Too many variables to make this thread viable.

Ya think? pretty cut and dry to me...
Sticker...xxx
paid xxx
trade....Who cares as it is not an issue.
I put a chunk of money down so my OTD was not 34K, but that would not be in anyones interest or help them at all.
Even when you trade something in, the dealer and you come up with a base price.

Anyway, if everyone makes posts like yours then I would agree, this would be a waste of time :)

'12 Rubicon Unlimited

Can't remember the exact MSRP, think it was 39,500

Paid 37,100, you aren't going to get a screaming deal on either a Subaru or Jeep in Colorado

I ran into the same issue in Mississippi. They only wanted to go 1K under the MSRP (even when I told them I would buy somewhere else).
I searched many different states and found the best deal in Houston Tx.
It is a 1000 mile drive for me, but worth it (have friends there I want to see anyway).
I could have flew for $89 and drove the 500 miles back, but it is not a bad drive.

Douglas County Doge Jeep, in the Atlanta metro area. I thought it might be obvious, but I did get the preferred pricing thru my employer. They also gave me a $1000 manufacturer rebate for the trade-in.

1.9% financing was thru DCU.

Awesome! My APR was 3.1 and I have great credit. Guess I should have shopped around more on that one..

Dates seem reasonable, but a $700 price increase seems high! Is that how much they go up each year?

denisbaldwin 03-27-2012 09:05 AM

Traded my old F150 for it.. which was probably worth $800-1000.

I was on the phone with him and he said pricing for the 2013 was out. He didn't have the information in front of him but said the prices indeed went up, about $700. Dunno if it was a scam to make me buy the 2013, but he's been legit and not pushy with me at all

Looking at your post I think yall may have smoked a little while you were there (and I am not talking about cigs) :whistling:

OneLessPrius 03-27-2012 09:16 AM

i got a 2010 jeep wrangler sport 4x4: automatic, soft top, 31k miles for 16,300. Pretty basic though, but tons of fun.

4fit 03-27-2012 09:24 AM

If I recall correctly, MSRP was 30,055 for my '11 Sport S. OTD including TTL was 28,200. Then I had a trade-in and put down a good chunk, so I didn't finance anywhere near that.

Very well could be the truth, I was just a bit surprised by the number, especially if we aren't going to be seeing many updates, as most people are expecting. Personally I will probably end up waiting for the 2013 regardless, but hoping the increase isn't quite that much!

mckey73 03-27-2012 09:39 AM

My MSRP was 31,100, 28,500 out the door. But they gave me a good price for my Duramax with bad injectors, so I am very happy!!! I coulda tried harder but when they gave me the quote on my trade-in I had to run with it. Or away from it in my case.

28,500 OTD? No TTL? So depending on your state, you got the car for 26,500 and TTL was 2k? That's a great price then!

genoint 03-27-2012 10:28 AM

2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara (only 1 week old and it was a factory order)
MSRP $37455
Paid $33300 plus TTL

Does it really matter? If you join Treadlightly, you are guaranteed to get 1% below invoice, and you can negotiate from there. I got 1% below invoice, plus $500 rebate, + $500 military, and 1.9% financing. So, why bother starting negotiations at MSRP? They won't go below the invoice price, not without a huge fight, cause there will be no kick-backs from the manufacturer. Also, another benefit of Affiliate Rewards (Treadlightly) is that they put a cap on how much they can charge you for paperwork, this may not matter in some states like here in CA, cause we have regulations on it, but at other states, these fees can get higher and often used against you to make you feel like you got a deal, and then they slam it back on you with $500 for paperwork!. This is really, almost the best deal you can get, with almost no effort, and still walk out winning and the dealer is happy. With a little more work, you can even get a little more off, up to 2% below invoice I hear. Not worth my time, personally, to get an extra 1% off and the dealer makes almost nothing. But, really, I just don't get why we have these threads when things can be this clear cut.

Dealer gets hold-back on EVERY jeep they order and sell off of their lot.

Mine was $28,500 all together with tax and tags in NJ. I got $4,500 for my trade in to make it $24,000. It's a Sport S with a automatic transmission, tinted soft-top, extra speaker in the back, and it also has the USB connectivity cable.
