Get together.

Anyone interested getting together and hanging out. I'm new to jeeps and want to meet other keep enthusiasts. Let me know if there is anyone up for this.

I've been to Delta a time or two, actually I'll be heading that way soon to pick up some meat from Delta Meat. I had the top and doors off today too, it was 59 in Fairbanks today. Feels soo good!!!

riceroni87 04-17-2012 03:18 PM

Iamjrad79 04-24-2012 01:28 AM

I've been looking online for trails in the area. I've seen a few things about Coal Mine Rd. Ever been out that way?

Yes. Its nice out there. Here are some pics of coal mine road this past february. Hopefully the snow will be gone for the jeeps to go on.

Iamjrad79 04-24-2012 07:47 PM

Thanks! We might go check it out when we make our meat run to Delta. Thanks for the pics, it's pretty!

AKYJ 04-28-2012 02:59 AM

Mile marker 1408 on Alaska Hwy about 10 miles east of Delta Junction

Iamjrad79 04-30-2012 12:39 AM

That's a great pic. I'm looking forward to getting down that way and checking things out. I'm getting married in June and time is sparce ha ha. Hopefully soon. I need some meat AND some adventure

riceroni87 04-30-2012 01:48 AM

yea theres a lot of little trails here and there. Also even on Ft. Greely reservation area. You have to stop buy the welcome center at the gate on base to get a range card which takes like 5 minutes to get. After that you can drive south towards donnelly dome and find some trails. Look up 33 mile loop. Thats another place to go

Iamjrad79 04-30-2012 02:25 AM

Thanks! When I head out that way I'll let you know. Hoping to make a run out there in the next month. I'm really anxious to hit Murphy Dome Rd here in Fairbanks. There's a "road" if you can call it that, that takes you all the way out to Minto Flats and I've never been all the way down it. I was out there a few weeks ago and there was too much snow still. Should be open and nice and muddy soon

riceroni87 04-30-2012 02:29 AM

wooded area behind my house. please excuse the squeal. need new v-belts, they don't like to get wet

Good thing my Jeep didn't see that. She'd be as jealous as I am. How far back do those trails go?

riceroni87 05-01-2012 03:28 AM

not too far. maybe about 2 or 3 miles behind my place. there many others out here too. lots of places are questionable if the jeep can make it. I've been on them with snow machines but not with the jeep. I haven't been to fairbanks with the jeep in a few months. i thought about seeing if theres anything worth wheeling around the chena flood channel.

Iamjrad79 05-01-2012 04:00 AM

I don't know if there are any trails out that way or not. I wouldn't be surprised if there were. I've heard there is a ton of recreational land behind Eielson and I've wondered if there are trails there as well.

riceroni87 05-01-2012 07:44 PM

Ive heard that too. Mainly trails for 4 wheelers and snow machines. Not sure if jeeps are allowed. And id hate to tear it up and screw it up for the wheelers

jmx663 07-09-2012 10:17 PM

Im up here in Fairbanks, anybody wanna do some wheelin?

Will335i 10-19-2012 06:06 PM

I just moved up to fairbanks and will be looking to wheel whenever I get a chance. Right now I am trying to find a snow machine to enjoy during the winter.
