Installed my first small lift today.

Yay more clearance. A huge thanks goes out to Chad/Colo-TJ. Maybe the next trail after this one i will get to test it out. Gotta let the modded guys get their runs in. :)

Forgot this picture. These are the factory springs vs the new ones.

When I first did mine it lifted the Jeep a little over 5". It has setteled a bit but it still is up there. My wife hates it because she can't get in it. GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

You know, you are not very nice people. I would have figured that getting rid of the nerf bars would have taken care of the "problem"...

Oldguy 03-31-2012 10:17 PM

BTW, looks like you guys did a really fine job. Maybe we can do Illinois Gulch next weekend to give Justin a chance to try things out. From what I saw on Friday it should be quite doable.

Oldguy 03-31-2012 10:19 PM

Ooh, and those springs are variable rate, that should be nice and comfy...

Justin04Lj 03-31-2012 10:24 PM

It rides like a dream. Can't wait to get on some dirt.

Im up testing out my new lift out this weekend. Preferably not easter sunday though.

Justin04Lj 04-01-2012 06:52 PM

Where do you wanna go john.

Johnwbs 04-01-2012 07:16 PM

I don't have anywhere specific in mind. I should be off friday-monday but I have plans for easter sunday with the kids but any other day's fine.

Justin04Lj 04-01-2012 07:54 PM

Got Easter plans myself. Was thinking Saturday. Just gotta find a trail... Or two. Gunna look in the trail book and I'll let you know if I see anything worth checking out. You got any trails in mind?

Johnwbs 04-01-2012 08:08 PM

Oldguy mentioned something about illinois gulch. Moab hill looks like it could be fun.

Justin04Lj 04-01-2012 08:21 PM

Sounds fun to me. We'll see how much body damage they come back with lol

Oldguy 04-01-2012 08:41 PM

Illinois gulch shouldn't be any worse than China Wall. With your lifts you won't have any problems. Parts of it that I've played on are rocky but nothing terrible. How about we set it up for next Saturday instead of Sunday?

Johnwbs 04-01-2012 08:44 PM

Works for me

Justin04Lj 04-01-2012 08:47 PM

Saturday works

Oldguy 04-01-2012 08:47 PM

All us little guys took hits but nothing terrible. My passenger side nerf bar sits a lot higher now, Chad put a really nice V in his track bar, Brenden didn't say anything other than he wants more lift and bigger tires. If a vendor had been sitting halfway up the trail selling 35's I would have bought them on the spot and not even quibbled about the price. We got tossed around a lot...

Oldguy 04-01-2012 08:48 PM

Ok, I'll set up a run thread and shoot anyone who goes off topic.

brendend 04-01-2012 08:53 PM

i bent my track bar and i think did something to my tie rod but nothing to serious. got a bit of a vibration from 50ish-65ish. not all the time so idk what it is. ill have to get under tomorrow and do a little digging around, looks good justin
