Lift kit OR new bushings all around?

I am looking at either lifting it 2.5" or installing new bushings all around, what say the masses?

It is stock but has 31X10.50X15 tires and rims on it. Also, how do you measure the offset? Do you measure from the back side of the rim to the mounting surface? Or??

TIA all!

Yep...they also call it 'backspacing'

Depends on what you want to do & how hashed your stock springs are.

New bushings, ditching your track bars & decent shocks will ride prety nice. Slap on some TJ fenders & trim a bit of sheet metal from the body openings & 31's fit pretty well for street/mild trail duty.

For tougher trails, you'll need to lift it. Or if your stock springs are abused, it's a good idea too.

If you can live w/ a little less turning radius, you can adjust your steering stops (bolts on the front of steering knuckle down low) so the tires don't rub in turns. I have 31's on stock TJ steelies & they don't rub now.

I have no idea if the springs are hashed or not, they are not flat or bent the wrong way just so you know.

The long term plans are: complete soft top with 2 piece doors, new rear bumper-spare tire carrier-gas can holder, new front bumper and winch combo, and suspension if needed before the new parts of course.

The tires do rub the flares a little right now but I have not done any hard wheeling as of yet. Also the tires are not hitting the frame right now in hard turns.

Thanks for the advise man!

Definately time for lift springs if you plan on adding weight.

Yea, kind of what I was thinking as well. Time to spend more $$$!
