It's almost impossible to get around it Justin. My bumpers are Smittybuilt and nerfbars are Rugged Ridge, also made in China. It is just the way it is.

They do look good :thumb:

I know warn is great but when I see those prices. Ouch.

brendend 04-04-2012 06:39 PM

i know its late now but check out poison spyder, they're priced pretty good, have stuff on both end of the spectrum price wise.

Colo-TJ 04-04-2012 08:30 PM

I heard you got those!!! They look great on your rig.
Your getting there!!! just a few more upgrades and youll be ready for Chinamens!!

Oldguy 04-04-2012 08:53 PM

I'm looking pretty closely at Rockmen right now. Their quality is exceptional and their prices are very reasonable, compared to Warn and Teraflex. I will probably be getting both their belly pan and their gas tank skid. The gas tank skid will gain me about an extra inch and a half of clearance and another inch of room to push back my rear axle. The reviews of their products on JeepForum are outstanding.

I'm definatly doing Rokmen...belly and fuel tank skid. Local shop great guys Outstanding product...all the research that i've done tells me that there is no other choice.. I did the JKS B1 Body lift today in preperation for them next month.

Oldguy 04-04-2012 09:31 PM

How's that go as a solo project? I don't yell for help very often but was thinking about it for that one.

wanderlust 04-04-2012 09:34 PM

ed, if you need a hand we could work out some time

brendend 04-04-2012 09:38 PM

just reread what i wrote, and didnt mean to make it seem like they aren't nice sliders. they do look nice. i just have a hard time spending the price anyone asks for those when all's they are is simple cuts and a welds, maybe 45 in materials. the ones i have, i know they aren't the best looking but hey they're armor not a fashion statement, i spent a whopping 30 bucks

easy as pie on the B1. had some trouble with the one inch engine lift. but now that i've done it , next time would be easy.

brendend 04-04-2012 09:53 PM

did the mml you put in have all new bolts or just the extensions ive seen most come with?

Colo-TJ 04-04-2012 09:55 PM

some new some reuse
no extensions

brendend 04-04-2012 09:58 PM

That I can believe :D Having that six wobbling around on a floor jack is not something I am looking forward to. If I use a kit it will probably be the JKS. Have to price out materials to see if it is worth fabricating.

Don't miss the price reduction on the belly pan. It hasn't shown up on their site but you can find it in the dealer forum.
