Zone lifts. Opinions?

I have a 2005 Tj and I'm thinking about lifting it but I'm broke and the zone lifts are cheap as hell. What are your opinions on them? I don't wanna mess it up and I'd rather wait and save a while than do it cheap and crappy if the zone isn't worth it.

I just ordered a 3 inch Zone kit from Jeff at Rockridge4WD
I had read good things online about zone and Jeff, so I finally did it. I have to wait a couple weeks till I can buy tires and rims before I can put it on but I will repost later or you can pm me later if you want.

Got my Zone 3 in kit. My friend is halfway done installing last night, I will post again after we finish. Kit arrived on time with all parts fron Jeff at Rockridge. Backend was done last night, it is clearly higher now/screaming for bigger tires. Notice sad pic of stock jeep before lift...aawww.

Looks great so far. It Definitely needs new tires. The ones currently on it make it look like much more than a 3" lift!

Zone is a product of BDS and BDS is good news

I've had a zone 3" lift on my 07 jk got about a month. minus needing new tires, it performs great on the trail as well as my dd. I would highly suggest it if your on a budget.

ok I'm done. Very happy so far with the 3 inch zone kit from Jeff at Rockridge. I went with 32 in tires and it's a nice balance. Rides great, not stiff or bouncy in my opinion just right! I got the nitro shocks and so far in the 24 hrs i have had it on i have run over anything I could get away with. Curbs, potholes, jumped a small bump/hill at work that we jump at about 20-25 mph to catch air. This thing just doesn't care so far. Hit a curb dead on at 10 mph and it felt like a coke can. I will post again after I get it the woods.

I have the 4.25 combo lift, and think its great. The ride is better then stock ( but still very jeep like). I would recommend for someone on a budget.

It looks great and sounds even better do far. Only in my previous experiences, lifting on a budget can end up with a lot of problems in the long run. Also zone is a fairly new product from what I hear and that makes me a little nervous as well. I am still seriously debating on saving for a teraflex 3".

Another thing that makes me nervous about purchasing this lift is that there ate no shops near me that sell zone lifts and for security/warranty sake that worries me a little bit. If I order one and have it installed by a local shop than only the installation is warranted and if I do it myself than it's only the parts. If I go with a more common brand it comes with a little more assurance.

I'm really not an expert but I read on here yesterday somewhere from a guy who had this zone kit 12 months and said no prob so far. I did 8 yrs in Army and I beat the hell out of things so you can always pm me later if you want an update. I'm not going hardcore off roading too much, but there are some hills here with large rocks about the size of a dishwasher I have climbed before, and I like to run over things. If it's gonna break i'm your guy to find out.

Found an extra benefit yesterday to having the Zone 3 inch lift.....it's easier to replace the starter when you are broke down somewhere. I highly reccomend this lift kit to anyone who has to replace a starter. It makes it a lot easier to climb under the Jeep with the lift kit installed.
