Review: Bestop All Weather Trail Cover

I don't review many products, but I think this product is pretty darned cool. I was shopping for a cover that you could just throw on at night to keep the dew off the seats or if I got caught in the rain etc...

I ran across The Bestop All Weather Trail Cover and it turned out to be so much better than I expected. If you like riding around with the top off, this is a MUST HAVE ITEM!!!

I emailed Bestop making the suggestion that they make one with a "pocket" in the front of the cover for vehicles with light bars. If the the pocket is made across the top, it would accomadate however many lights you have or light bar or whatever. I know this would cost more... but I bet people would pay a few extra bucks for this improvement.

(ID LIKE TO BE CLEAR ON SOMETHING. THIS IS NOT A SHOW STOPPER. THE COVER STILL WORKS AND IT GOES OVER THE LIGHTS BUT IT DOESNT GO ALL THE WAY DOWN AND LOOKS FUNNY. YOU MAY HAVE TO REPOINT YOUR LIGHTS IF YOU'RE NOT CAREFUL.)

The other thing is the storage bag. As soon as I saw the bag it came in I knew there was no way the cover was ever going back in that bag. Then there's the strap right across the top of the bag which makes it a pain in the ass to get the cover back in if you do get it folded up that small. I tossed the bag and opted for an old back pack.

I bought one and used it for a couple years on my TJ and loved it. Now it lives on my YJ every night. :D
Best $130 I've ever spent on any of my Jeeps!

UPDATE!!!!!:

I was messing around with the cover this morning and actually came up with a better solution....for me anyway. I cut slits in the corners so it all fits nice and snug. I'm gonna take it to a seamstress next week and have her sew hook and loop straps where I marked on the pic. Still an awesome product!!!!

It's easy. Lay it down flat. Fold the doors over first, then just keep folding. It'll go right back into the bag.
