Skypods and extra sound pods

Has anyone tried those "skypod" things that mount 2 4" speakers to the footman loop on your windshield frame? I was thinking about maybe giving them a whirl. My jeep is real loud in the backseat, and quite in the front. Id love to blow out my ear drums, as well as my friends :D

Also, has anyone tried to mount a sound bar or 2 pods to the FRONT of the roll bar, so you have 4 pods or 2 bars on the bar?

Mounting a sound bar in the front is quite easy. If you want it super-secured, you'll need a tap-and-die kit to make the threads for the bolts to secure it. If security isn't a huge issue, you can do what I did and just get some heavy duty zip-ties and zip it down :D. When the velcros around it you can't even tell its only been zip tied.

i dont know how the sky pods work but they look like they only work with no top to me, either that or they signifignatly decrease your view of the road, but idk

i know exactly what you mean though, i have the 12" sub behind the rear seat two 7 in speakers on the fenders next to the rear seat and aftermarket speakers in the bar so its wicked loud back there but barely loud upfront,

also if you have a soft top you cant flip the sound bar around because it covers the whole for the door surrounds to go in, and makes it too thick for them to attach just fyi

the skypod add says it is designed for both hard/soft tops

the door surrounds are a good call, but really a non issue if you are installing it yourself. just put the pods a little closer in :) answers my Q about the sound bar though.

They worked fine for me. The holes are uncovered (it just barely made it though) and the surrounds still fit on fine.
