Buying used jeep

What should one look for when buying a used jeep,95-02 year models, what are known problems with these year models.

Not sure of any problems but I would look for rust.

In the years you mentioned there are two different model Jeep Wranglers made. The YJ 1987-1996 (leaf spring suspension) and the TJ 1997-2006 (coil spring suspension). They can also be identified by the headlights, YJ will have square/rectangular headlamps and the TJ will have the traditional Jeep round headlamps.

I would do some research and find out which model you are more interested in and then continue your search by year.

Mike.

Mike, I don't think there was a Wrangler made in 1996:confused:

Yep, you're right. My bad, I just went back a year from where the TJs were started and forgot they did not make any in 1996.

Good catch.
