Gen-Right or Rokmen
Trying to decide between Rokmen or Gen-Right rock sliders for my TJ. I like them both, same price except Gen-Right comes powder coated. I have looked at a lot of the others and they are not bad either and all different price ranges but have narrowed it down to these and need some help deciding. Around $400 plus shipping is what I was planning on spending.

Rokmen's have some sexy welds. Their products are top notch and the customer service is beyond spectacular. I have several Rokmen products, and I will definitely be using them for my sliders. Also, if you're going to wheel, I am of the opinion that contact points are not best suited for powder coat. You knock off a hunk of coat, and it's hard to match back up. Use some self etching primer and a rattle can satin black and you can make trail repairs to scrapes.

I'm in the same boat as the op, looking to go full aluminum though. Both seem to make great products.

The Savvy's are nice but a little above what I am wanting to spend. I am leaning toward rokmen as I have dealt with before.

I have a similar dilemma. I like the Rokmen, they make alot of great products. Plus I like how their slider are bent at a 45 degree at the corner, rather than just a plain 90 degree angle. The Gen-Right sliders are nice as well plus they come with powder coating.

Would be nice to see some pics from people. Ill be subscribing to this thread

Let us know what you decide.

Just installed my Rokmen sliders and abused them already and I probably would have paid more money for Rokmen sliders. Those things are tough as nails and will take the abuse I'm going to out them through. Check out my build thread in my sig for some pics of the install which was easy with someone to help. Here is another pic of them in use.

Thanks for the help, I went with the rockmen and am extremely satisfied. Got one side painted and mounted today...

Just wondering how the bottoms of them look with the 45 bend? And how the sides attach to the body at the areas where you can't get to the inside of the tub. I have mine mounted with 4 bolts right now and I'm finishing fabbing some brackets for the frame. I'm around $75 invested including paint, gaskets, steel, a few cuts at the shop, and the welding supplies I didn't already have. I'm also adding another piece of steel for more bottom coverage. It will be added when I finish the brackets.

I would also like to see the bottom mounting points for the rock men and genrights. Thanks.

Sorry if I am a bit off topic. :thumb:
