HELP! Loss of power!

My jeep has been running great then today I accidently started it without pushing the clutch in and I was in gear (for some reason mine starts without needing the clutch pushed in). Then the engine died and it won't restart. There is no power to anything, but the battery still has 12V. What would have caused this? Is there a main in-line fuse somewhere? TIA.

I fixed it! Randomly the connection to the positive terminal was bad. Weird.

Your Jeep starts in gear because there is no clutch start safety switch on our Jeeps. They will start with it in gear or not, because you will find that you are going to need to start in low gear on the trails from time to time. Starts right up and keeps going, I do it from time to time.

Funniest thing I ever saw was a friends 93 honda del sol manual with a remote start. We were walking out of the mall and he hit the button. He was parked in front of a light post. The remote start kept trying and the little go cart bounced off the post 10-12 times before we got to it.
