Will Timing Chain Break Bend Valves?

I have a 98 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L and my timing chain broke while pulling out of the garage. My question is, can this break bend my valves like it does with a Honda?

I've replace timing chains/belts before, but valve issues may be beyond my ability. If the valves are bent, I'll just take it in. Otherwise, I can replace the chain myself.

If it can bend the valves, what is a good way to check. I don't have any pressurizing equipment and I'd prefer not to remove the valve cover ...but I will if I have to.

Nope, as was answered in your other posting. The 2.5 is not an interference type engine like some engines from Japan and Korea are, no worries. :)

you can replace the chain but you dont want to take off the valve cover..... but no, no worries about bent valves.
