What more important??

Ok so I'm debating what to get next it's between a winch, anti rock or a tire carrier since my stock one can't carry a 36in tire which is more important or should I get first?

tazmann910 04-23-2012 10:31 PM

Depends, do you wheel more or drive on the road more?

Wheel more, get the winch, on the road more get the bumper.

Lbailey21 04-23-2012 11:14 PM

If your running a 36" tire and your offroading...shoot you need both. Save that $$$$$

DevilDogDoc 04-23-2012 11:21 PM

The real question is are you set up correctly for 36's in the first place?

AntiRock. Screw big-ass tire carriers. A winch would be a close second but they aren't nearly as needed as most people make it seem as long as you wheel with at least one person with one.

That's what I was thinking I usually wheel wit a buddy and we carry straps but I was also thinking mayb jks discos and mayb te winch but on my previous tj I had the anti rock and it drove a lot smoother to me the stock sway bar sucks

TjWranglerMan 04-24-2012 08:58 AM

And could I fit a winch wit that bumper I thin I'd have to cut a piece out

Imped 04-24-2012 09:05 AM

AR >>> Stock sway bar regardless of links. That should be a definite on your list.

Thanks I think I'm going to order today I loved my previous one but do u think I could mount a winch on that bumper with put cutting into it?

DevilDogDoc 04-24-2012 09:12 AM

With what part

KBR97 04-24-2012 09:14 AM

I would get the antirock first, followed by winch, then maybe a carrier.

XJ Knight 04-24-2012 09:23 AM

Everywhere I have wheeled and the clubs I wheel with all require a full size spare be readily available.. maybe it doesn't work that way where you are or do u just throw it in the back?

Well I haven't wheeled anywhere hard yet getting my rig ready for the harder stuff and wen I go I would b taking out the rear seat so I guess that could work I normally wheel area my house there are a couple of good spots and there's the beach so I haven't had to use my spare

I have no idea what bumper you're talking about......

I've never wheeled anywhere with a mandatory spare rule. I used to carry mine in the back until I got a fuel cell. I'm planning on coming up with a cage-mounted horizontal carrier over the back this spring. Til then, in Kevlar I trust. Never had a problem.

KBR97 04-24-2012 09:31 AM

I toss mine in the back.

The bumper in the pics on the first page and I know I'd have to relocate the lights

DevilDogDoc 04-24-2012 09:39 AM

I was referring to the AR.
