swapping a dana 35 to dana 44 is it possiable

I was wondering if any body knows if swapping a dana 35 for dana 44 is possiable? On a 99 Jeep Wrangler

Of course it is, alot of jeeps come with a d44 from the factory, you've just gotta go find one!

Yes. D44 axles came in the back end of many wranglers models and all rubicons have them. The difference is rubicon D44's also selectable lockers installed from the factory. Check out ebay and you will find some. Be prepared though, they are pretty expensive, about $750 for a regular D44 and even more for the rubicon ones. Also be sure you get the correct gear ratio for your application. The beauty is that its a direct replacement and will bolt. If you wanna save a little money you can do a Ford 8.8 swap out of a Ford Explorer post 96' and also score disc brakes for the rear and 31 spline axle shafts. It requires a little more work though because new brackets have to be welded on but thats not much. PM me if you would like to know more.
