2.5 to 4.0
I have a 1992 Jeep Wrangler I have put a extreme amount of time and money into it to just sell and put all my parts on a 4.0. So I was wondering if it would be possible to buy a fully running working 1992 Jeep Cherokee and use that as a donor vehicle. For engine, transmission, transfer case, wire harness, and the computer. Other than labor is there anything else that i would need to get or am missing?

People do it all the time, donor cherokees are very popular. You need good welding skills, a lot of time and effort, another vehicle to drive around, and a couple of buddies to help.

As much time as you have invested, its hard to imagine it being more than a full drivetrain swap. There are so many little things that kill you time and expense wise on any sort of swap. Its a labor of love for sure.

front and rear drive shafts. Just did the same thing to my 92 got a 94 Cherokee 4.0 H.O. donor moved the frame mounts and re clocked the transfer case put her in, wasn't bad to do took a weekend to pull both out and install the 4.0.

From what I have read and researched:
-Install 4.0 computer
-Wire up additional 2 injectors
-Extend some wiring
And that's basically it, this is of course only for MPFI 2.5L Jeep, which you should have.
