Rear-view Mirror Attachment

I have tried to attach my mirror three times with "glass/metal adhesive" but due to all the vibration the mirror falls after about 5 minutes of driving.
:banghead:

Any idea?

Is this the kit?

Are you using the cleaner and the adhension promoter.

I bet your windshield isn't clean...well clean enough anyway. I've used super glue on mine temporarily and it lasted a few weeks..even though it really shouldn't work.

If you aren't put a little pressure for a few minutes on the metal piece to make sure it gets a good hold.

I used a kit (cleaner and the "glue") and I even held the metal piece one for about 2 mins. The second time, with the same kit, I used a clamp for about 2 hours. Still didn't hold for more than a 5 minute ride

Didn't the older jeeps have a windshield frame mounted rear view mirror? Mine is holding to the glass just fine, but I like the look of the older mirrors. Just a thought...

I just installed this. It works great and you cant beat the price!

That's awesome! For that price I think I'm going to pull off my rear view and swap it out with this older style.

That is exactly what I did. I put one in my YJ and it looks awesome! Makes it look mean.

I had the same problem in my yj. I ended up drilling to holes in the windshield frame , tapped the drill outs, and used a piece of sheet metal to attach my rear view to. Had to drill out the back of the rear view too. That was two years ago and ive been looking back since. Lol
Here's the view from driver seat and from out
