Would love to see some pictures of some TJs with a 2 inc lift with some 31s and 32s

Here's mine when I had a 2" BB and 31" BFG's. I later upgraded to the 3.25" and kept the 31's but put on Mud Tires.

Here's mine with a 2 inch budget boost and 32x11.50's. I really need to get 8 inch wheels, those wide things are starting to drive me nuts.

2.25" BBL and 33x12.50x15 Duratracs. My tires actually measure 32x11.50 when mounted on the 15x8" rims. there's other pics on my profile.

Hi I am going to install a 2.5inch spacer lift on my 2000 tj, does anyone know if I will need brake line extensions or not? Thanks.

TJNewbie 05-03-2012 07:59 PM

Every Jeep is alittle different, it's hard to say. I have a 2000 Tj. I used 2.25" spacers, and 3/4" spring isolators on the front (equaling 3"s up front), I didn't need brakeline extensions.

wwch99tj 05-03-2012 08:28 PM

Here's mine only 1.75" and 31's

Perhaps, I am kinda partial to the DC2 wheels.:punk: But the 1.75" lift with the 31s and the 3-5/8 backspacing brings it all together.

Do you rub at all? Have you noticed a loss of power? What's your gas mileage now?

Looks nice! I'm about to do a very similar setup but I'm iffy on the duratracs "32s"

Thanks! I don't rub at all on road, offroad it doesn't rub either but I don't disconnect my sway links.

I have the 3spd auto with 3.07 gears, I didn't notice a loss in power when just driving the jeep, but if I'm towing my 5'x8' open trailer filled with camping gear, fire wood, & food/water for 5days, up steep hills then I do notice a slight powerloss, the DC2 wheels are lighter than my previous wheels and the Duratracs are the lightest of all the aggressive A/T terrain tires.

My fuel milage dropped from 19 mpg to 16mpg's. That's fine with me, the Lift and tires totally transformed my Tj, now it looks and rides so much better.

The Duratracs are great, they are quiet on road and they're awesome in sand and mud, and they do very well driving in the rain. I've read that the side wall is weak, and that some people have had side wall punctures, personally I haven't experienced that, but I stick to the trail mostly, and always watch out for trail hazards.

I like the BDS 2" springs, when I replace my stock springs, I'll be using those. You can purchase just the springs for $225.

Close to criteria...2.5 in RC with 31's

Not a great pic, I am on uneven ground.

ob269 03-04-2013 09:12 PM

^^ Nice looking rig, very similar what mine will be. I am going to install the same lift, just use some BDS shocks instead of the junky RC shocks..

I have some 31x10.5 gy wrangle authority tires that I likea lot..

Not sure if this will help you but heres my 99 with a 3" and 32's (before my flats and my bl)

Getting ready to do a bb 2" by Zone....Any advise re: getting the rear top shock bolts off without too much drama? Looks like they bust frequently. I'm planning on a few days of PBS blaster before hand. It seems kinda hard to spay it up in there though and I'm really just hitting the bolt from the bottom. Sandy tricks for getting lube on the bolts from the top so that it soaks down into the threads?

Using heat looks unlikely - too close to the gas tank.

Kinda cheating, but I installed a body lift first. Really easy to spray the bolts from the top

2" BB with 31's.

I need to take some new pictures now that I have a New Front Bumper and Winch.

WOW!! you must drive the 4.OL or have a heavy foot. I get 15mpg with my 97 on 35s which is what I currently run on the street.

I used to run a 1.25" BL on 33s with stock springs(no spacers).

I did install 2" procomp springs for a week, those came off.
My jeep never rubbed flexing with 33s and the 1.25" BL.
flexing on my steep RTI ramp.

I hit mine hard with PB for a week before hand. If you spray enough from the bottom up and splash enough around up in there, mine came off smooth as butter.
