Body lift thoughts and recommendations?

I already have a 2' skyjacker suspension lift, and im looking to get a 2' body lift on top of that for looks. Im going with a body lift because its cheaper than a new, bigger suspension lift, and I could do it myself easily.

Anyone have any thoughts on a good body lift for a 2007 jk unlimited, manual transmission?

Nobody does BL's on Jk's

What size tire you have/want ?

Pretty much, yep.

When I've seen it done, it's no more than 1".

+2. Body lifts, especially on JK's, open up new cans of worms you don't want to deal with like alighnment of shifters with transmissions and such. Bad times and not worth it. Get a 2.5 BB and some 19/60 coils. Slap on some 33's and you get to where you want to be for looks, and you are doing it the right way. Nothing wrong with doing it for looks, but as with most things, you get what you pay for, and in the case of a body lift on a JK, you actually get a lot less.

Also... Body lifts were more popular with the Tj, which needed 4" plus to fit a 35" tire. Even so 1.25 was the max w/o running into other issues.

I have 35' tires already. Thanks for the info guys I think ill be staying away from this...
Also I was researching and Bl arent good for manual transmissions? so thats just another reason to not do it.

I wouldnt go over 1" on a BL on a JK. Personally, I wouldn't go over 0" but if you wanted to you could get away with 1".

IMO they look like poop and serve no real purpose than stuffing bigger tires.

I have a 2.5" lift and also a 1 1/4" RC body lift with the manual trans adapter. I have no problems running this setup as the adapter raises the shift back to stock height. Keeping the CG low is why I did this while running larger tires. Just my 2 cents...

I was gonna do a 2.5" Teraflex budget boost with 3/4" DS level kit. You can get away with it, only if you're gonna go for looks. But I wanted clearance, so I went with 4" lift. If it were me, just upgrade to 4" lift.
