You can either contact Matt (DTD) through here or give them a call and speak with them. If you are unsure of anything, they will point you in the right direction :thumb:

I agree with calling them. I called when we ordered new tires for my sons 02 Tahoe and they were great help matching tires to wheels and getting it all right.

Do you know what backspacing you want?

Here's a good thread that'll give you an idea of backspacing and tire sizes, and the various requirements that go with them: Largest tire on stock JK? Here's your answer!

Good thread had to reread it to pickup on what I was missing. I'm looking for 4.5"backspace.that way i can run 285/70-17 .so if I read this right a 17x8.5 5on5. -6 would be a 17x8.5 wheel with 4.5" bs. And if I run a 285/70-17 it may or may not rub on the airdam or swaybar at full turn. WOW what a big learning curve from dirt bikes.:facepalm:

Correct, a 17x8.5 with a -6mm offset = 4.5" backspace. Also, a 17x9 with a -12mm offset = 4.5" backspace.

Tires are like shoes, some run larger than others even though they may be listed as the same size. 285/70R17 on a 17x8.5 with a 4.5" backspace shouldn't have a rubbing issues, if it does it will be minor. A 2.5" leveling kit or mini lift would clear that up completely and give you a little more ground clearance. :thumb: Give us a ring if we can help you more. We'd love to earn your business.

Anyone reading this that would like help, feel free to call TC at 1.888.459.4080 ext 51826 if you'd like to speak with a fellow JK owner. TC has a lifted 2010 JKU with 37" wheels and tires and a mess of other upgrades. He knows the fitments well and can explain things like TPMS sensor options and tire warranties much better than we can here via PM.

WOOHOO my wheels will be delivered today. I feel I must say thank you to all of you who posted in order to help me out with my decision. I decided on the mb72 in black and stuck with a 17" dia. Thanks again everybody.:thumb:
