Awesome , one thing we are not an official club , we wanted to keep it simple and just a buch of crazy jeep lovers that wanted to hang out and plan trips together , although we do have a tshirt we are making . its pretty funny because it actually says NOT A JEEP CLUB, . well let us know we post on here all the time just look for san antonio stuff and also search for our go topless day event thread ! its coming soon may 19th we roll on the 18th to convoy down.

Me and my girlfriend are new jeep owners and look forward to meeting other jeep owners. We will keep an eye out for the next place next month where everyone will meet up at. We saw the "Topless Tip" to Corpus but unfortunately we already have plans.

Is anyone on here or know anybody interested in buying 3inch xenon fender flares. I put tube fenders on and there just sitting around. Their in good condition..one has a little paint on it but no thick scratches. They still have their color. They'd be great to replace sun damaged one's.

Here's a picture

Hello and Welcome, themoonman23!

Some of the jeepers are meeting up this saturday (7/07/12) @ Biff Buzbys @ 6.

Also, I believe since this is July 4th weekend, those that can't make it on the 7th are planning on having another meet and greet on the 14th.

Check out this thread, it stays updated.

Hey boss welcome to WF ! Your more than welcome to hang out with the SA jeepers group , we are not a sanctioned club . We just act like one , less the politics and BS! Come hang out with us this coming weekend at hooters in Selma . Saturday the 14th.

Jeepin Dave 07-09-2012 09:28 PM

Not much into politics, BS or organizations (involved with them almost all day), but who does sanction Jeep clubs? Is there more than one group that does this?

wickedyj95 07-09-2012 09:38 PM

Well Dave , as I'm sure you've met them before jeep nation is an actual club ...a few of their members have frequented our meetings. Usually the clubs require you to actually own / drive a jeep. Oh and while we are on that subject ... How's your two jeep orders going ..?

HerJK-X 07-10-2012 10:25 AM

We have been a members of Jeep Nation for about 2 years, it's been a great group of diverse people. We do have a club president (Renee), reason being she is the founder of the club. Other than that there are NO CLUB FEES OR DUES, NO MANDATORY MEETINGS and NO POLITICS. The club tries to plan all kinds of events, Ye club ranges from stock to highly modified 4x4 vehicles and mall crawlers to extremist. We just like to hang out, shoot the bull and have fun.

All ya'll could do is attend an event, meet the group and see if it's a club for you.

Very well put. This is EXACTLY the route I took to see if I would enjoy being a member or not, and I DID... The Jeep Nation Chapter here is a great group of people. They're accepting of everyone and I felt VERY welcome at the meet up.

Have nothing against organizations, just that some can waste so much time.
Others are fun.
For example, use to rent planes from the Hill AFB Flying Club. Had mandatory safety meetings, but no new info was ever passed out. Just ego trips. Almost 3 hour drive each way to get to meeting.
Send me contact info and meeting dates on local meeting. Remember I travel much.
My two Jeeps have slipped until the Fall.
At first, told I had to buy left over MY12 to get colors, but none were available.
Then Jeep would do one run of MY13 Gecko and Crush. Had to order June.
Then I had to buy now at Invoice to ensure I got one of each for use in different locations.
Then I found out the truth was:
CRUSH CLEAR COAT (production ends 11/09/12) – change - Crush now first, order estimated first part of Sep
GECKO (production ends 12/14/12) – order estimated end of Sep to mid-Oct

We are in a busy time. Should slow down before Christmas.
Not guaranteed, but USAA Buying Service thinks there will be incentives in the Fall.
Wish I could have gotten truthful info earlier.
One team member lives in Canada. He goes home every other weekend. He is thinking of a car in San Antonio with a car in Canada along with his wife’s car.

Here are the rest of Jeep Nation's 2012 planned events:

August 10-12th Trip to Port A
September 22nd-Trip to Luckenbach

I will post up when something else pops up. I know that a group of people are planning a trip to Big Bend the first week of October. Ray Ingram is one of them, he has been to a couple of the Wrangler Forum meet & greets.

Here is the official Jeep Nation website: Home - Jeep Nation

Jeepin Dave 07-10-2012 04:50 PM

Thanks for the info.
What is at the first 2?
Once had a trip to Big Bend, but had to be cut short. Have always wanted to go back.

On mine, they are redoing the bid.

Torn between best price and getting it as soon as possible.

Rough Rider 07-11-2012 01:07 PM

Thought I would post this FYI. Jeep Nation activities include

August 10-12 Trip to Port A. Annual trip to Padre Island. Will meet with Corpus jeepers. Usually spend a day on the beach. Lash awnings together and have a great time. Usually followed with a pool party at the motel for those staying in the motel. Always have campers who prefer to stay on the sand.

September 22 Day trip to Luckenbach. Will caravan up, have lunch & beer in Luckenbach. Most will continue to Fredericksburg but parking probits a caravan. Some will visit Enchanted Rock.

October 1-8. Big Bend. Some will go for the week. Most will be there for the weekend of 10/5 - 10/7. Some will be staying in the Rio Grande campground - some in a motel. Trips planned are river road from Rio Grande Campground to Santa Eleana canyon (approximately 60 miles) with side trips thru Black Gap and Mariscal Quicksilver Mine. Also the ghost town at Teralingua. There will be other trails also including Tinaja trail. A stock jeep is adequate for Big Bend - the only rock climbing will be Black Gap.

All Wrangler Forum and all other jeepers are welcome and encouraged to join us. We always have a great time.

Watch MyJeepForum for updates.

Hahaha. Nice. I ended up not making it. Couldn't get the springs sold so I couldn't really justify play money for gas and whatnot. Lol

Flightmed29 07-23-2012 08:50 PM

When is the next meeting or event?

orngcrushrgrl 07-23-2012 10:15 PM

next meet up will probably be the monthly meet we do on Aug 4th.. Keep checking back on the local TX forum page though, people usually post up trips to HF and whatnot..
